On Thursday evening, 22 May 2025, the virtual reality experience “Creation of the Worlds” was officially opened in the Venclauski House-Museum of the Šiauliai “Dawn” Museum. The opening event attracted a large crowd of representatives of culture, art, business and media. They were among the first to immerse themselves in an exclusive virtual journey through the world of Mikolas Konstantinas Čiurlionis’ visions, created by directors Kristina Buožytė and Vitalius Žukas.
Vita Kušleikienė, Assistant to the Mayor of Šiauliai , who attended the opening event, conveyed the Mayor’s sincere greetings and best wishes:
“We are delighted that you have come to our City of the Sun. We have tried to keep it sunny and warm all day, but even though it is raining, I want to wish your project the best of luck.” Presenting the gifts of the city’s symbols, Kušleikienė shared her expectations that one day the history of Šiauliai will be available in virtual reality.

Birutė Lukošiūtė, the museum curator of the “Aušra” Museum, expressed her joy that this year the Venclauskas’ house is becoming a virtual reality art space:
The previous project “Trail of Angels”, presented at the Chaim Frenkel Villa, attracted a lot of attention in Šiauliai. We have no doubt that this time, too, the ‘Creation of the Worlds’ will become a centre of attraction and will encourage even more visitors to discover Čiurlionis’ artistic universe. We are confident that the aura of the Venclauski House, which dates back almost a hundred years, will contribute to the overall success of the project.”

Mintarė Palevičiūtė, the #PoLietuvą project manager, presented the project’s development plans and invited the citizens of Šiauliai and the city’s guests not to miss the opportunity:
“I am happy to announce that we will be in Šiauliai until 9 November. We hope that Creation of the Worlds will repeat the success of Trail of Angels and encourage every viewer to not only see the worlds inspired by M.K. Čiurlionis with their own eyes, but also to feel them – to relax. I wish everyone to create and nurture their own worlds.” Palevičiūtė, while presenting a token of appreciation to the representative of Šiauliai “Aušra” Museum, was happy that the City of Sun had joined the all-Lithuanian project and had become an important part of it.
The virtual reality experience “Creation of the Worlds” is an emotional, sensory journey where the viewer is immersed in magical landscapes, sounds and symbols that convey Čiurlionis’ worldview. The narrative of artistic images is complemented by the sounds of the artist’s great-grandson Rokas Zubovas and the famous French electronic musician Phil Von.
Visitors are invited to visit the Venclauski House-Museum from 22 May to 9 November.
Tickets for the experience are available on the door or online.
