The desire to set an example for others drives us to strive for the very best results

Every year, the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Crafts (PPAR) honors businesses whose activities generate not only economic benefits but also long-term value for society, the state, and future generations. The 2025 award winners reflect the direction of today’s business world—a balance of innovation, sustainability, and responsible growth.

The new president of the PPAR in the capital, attorney Gintautas Bartkus, emphasizes that this year’s awardees serve as an example of how business can become a catalyst for change and contribute to the creation of a more advanced economy.

“The Vilnius region remains the main center of economic growth in Lithuania today. It accounts for nearly half of the country’s gross domestic product and is home to the largest number of investors, high-value-added jobs, technology, financial services, and international business.

It is precisely in this region that new economic trends are taking shape most rapidly, wages are rising, and solutions are being developed that strengthen the competitiveness of all of Lithuania. Therefore, the achievements of the 2025 award winners are more than just the success of individual companies—they are a testament to the maturity of the region’s business community, accountability, and ability to create higher value. They once again underscore that Lithuanian businesses are capable of creating innovations, responsive solutions, and products that bring value to the market, to people, and to
the state,” says G. Bartkus.

This year, three companies operating in different fields received recognition from the chamber: “OKTA” was named the most innovative company of the year by

Innovations That Transform the Cultural Experience

OKTA, which has been named “Most Innovative Company of the Year,” creates virtual reality experiences that offer a fresh perspective on art, culture, and the possibilities of technology.

The company’s projects serve as an example of how the creative industries can generate high added value and successfully compete in the international market. Among the company’s most notable works are the virtual reality experiences “Trail of Angels” and “Creation of the Worlds,” based on the works of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis.

These projects stand out for their ability to combine art and technology, offering viewers the opportunity not only to observe the artwork but also to experience it from the inside.

“Trail of Angels” has already become something of a calling card for Lithuania’s virtual reality projects. The experience, which has been tried by more than half a million viewers, is often described as creating a sense of calm, focus, and inner harmony.

Meanwhile, *The Creation of the Worlds* invites viewers on a more intense journey, rich in symbols and sensations, in which visual and auditory elements merge into a unified emotional experience.

The international recognition of these projects shows that Lithuania’s creative technologies can make an impact on a global scale. Virtual reality experiences were presented at the Venice and Geneva film festivals, in various European countries, and at the EXPO exhibition held in the U.S. and Japan.

The projects have also won significant international awards—they were recognized for their exceptional design at the “Art*VR” festival in Prague, received the prestigious “Lumen Prize for Art and Technology” in the United Kingdom, and in Lithuania, the creators were awarded the “Silver Crane” for professional excellence.

The educational impact of these projects is also significant. Virtual reality experiences have already reached tens of thousands of students and teachers throughout Lithuania. These educational activities not only showcase the work of M. K. Čiurlionis but also promote technological literacy and introduce participants to new forms of cinema and digital art.

OKTA’s work demonstrates that innovation can not only drive technological breakthroughs but also forge an emotional connection with the audience, increase access to culture, and shape a modern image of Lithuania around the world.

The 2025 award winners reveal a common trend — Today’s business leadership is not limited to financial results alone. The drive to grow is increasingly accompanied by a sense of responsibility, a pursuit of innovation, and a desire to set an example for others. It is precisely these types of businesses that shape a more mature, more competitive Lithuanian economy that creates greater added value.
