From 24 February, the Museum of Regional History of Utena opened its doors to visitors to two enchanting virtual experiences – “Trail of Angels” and “Creation of the Worlds”, inspired by the work of the genius Lithuanian artist Mikolaj Konstantinas Čiurlionis.
The new space is located in the Museum of Regional History of Utena (3 Utena Avenue), where visitors can experience an even greater space for the senses – art speaks through light, sound and silence. Virtual reality experiences invite you to stop, be inspired and embark on a visual and musical journey through the worlds of Čiurlionis.
According to Lukas Verpetinskas, the development manager of the project, the new space in Utena has a special significance:
“We are very happy that “Trail of Angels” and “Creation of the Worlds” have found a permanent home in Utena. This location allows for an even deeper immersion into the experience and gives Utena residents and visitors the opportunity to experience Čiurlionis’ work through modern technology – as it can be experienced today.”
Jolita Bučelienė, Director of the Museum of Regional History of Utena, emphasises the importance of this initiative for the local community:
“We are delighted to be able to give the people of Utena and the city’s guests the opportunity to experience the work of Čiurlionis in a new and engaging way. It is not only a cultural experience, but also an invitation to stop, sit with the art and rediscover it. I would also like to invite everyone to take their time when they arrive, walk around the museum and visit our exhibitions. “
