#PoPasaulį. “On the Trail of Angels at the International Internet Governance Forum in Norway

23-27 June 2025 At the Internet Governance Forum (IGF 2025) in Lillestrøm, Norway, we took part in the Lithuanian stand with a virtual reality experience called ” Trail of Angels” . Lina Grigaliūnienė, who represented the project, presented a unique artistic approach to the development of the digital world and answered questions from the interested audience.

The IGF is the largest forum organised by the United Nations, bringing together more than 4,000 participants from around the world to discuss the future of the Internet, digital security, access, innovation and international cooperation.

During the event , ‘Trail of Angels’ attracted a great deal of interest, with more than 120 people viewing the virtual tour over the course of three days. Visitors were interested in the Lithuanian artist M. K. Čiurlionis, read information, and expressed their admiration for the project. Our participation in the Forum highlighted an important message: art and culture are also an integral part of the digital world.

Lithuania’s stand emphasised that our country’s strength lies in cross-sector cooperation. Key message: “Lithuania unites the state, business, society, science and art. This was emphasised by the stand’s slogan – ‘Co-create’.”

This year’s IGF will focus on the theme “Building Digital Governance Together”. The Forum was sponsored by the Norwegian Government, which stressed that only through active cooperation can we maintain an open, secure and inclusive internet.

Representing Lithuania alongside other influential partners was a wonderful experience and rewarding. Participation in the Forum is a testament to the growing role of culture in the digital policy debate , and the Trail of Angels project becomes a bridge between art and technology, Lithuania and the world.
