Klaipėda – Family Month!

In April, Klaipėda Weekends will invite families to spend time together – in a way that is fun for children and parents alike. Family weekends with animators, creative activities and virtual reality experiences “Trail of Angels” and “Creation of the Worlds” will take place at the Sensory Art Centre at the Culture Factory.

Every weekend, the little ones will be treated to special programmes organised in cooperation with the festival organisers Diamond Party. Children will be able to take part in games with animators, from the funny Mickey Mouse to Princess Bela and the friendly clown. They will also enjoy creative activities such as drawing, colouring and drawing competitions inspired by M.K. Čiurlionis.

According to the project organisers, this concept allows families to spend quality time together, even if each of them is engaged in different activities.

“We are happy to create experiences that are good for everyone – children and parents alike. The most important thing is that the family spends time together, even if everyone experiences it in their own way,” said Neda, the organiser of Diamond Party children’s parties.

While the children are engaged in the games, parents are invited to take some time for themselves – to immerse themselves in virtual reality experiences that will allow them to get to know the work of M. K. Čiurlionis in a different way. “The Trail of Angels” and “Creation of the Worlds” invite you not only to observe art, but also to experience it – to travel through worlds of images, music and emotions.

“Austėja Staniulevičiūtė, a member of the Trail of Angels team, added that such an initiative is particularly relevant in the cold season.

“The weather forecast does not predict very spring-like weather at the moment, so this is a great opportunity to choose indoor, high-quality activities. We want people to spend time with their families not only in a fun way, but also in a meaningful way – discovering or rediscovering the work of M. K. Čiurlionis through contemporary forms.”
