Culture Night shines even brighter: for the first time, virtual reality experiences such as ‘Trail of Angels’ and ‘Creation of the Worlds’ can be enjoyed at the most massive event

Last Friday, Vilnius hosted one of the most anticipated nights of the summer – Culture Night, which this year saw an exceptionally vibrant artistic community and innovative creative solutions.

Among the many engaging projects , the project “On the Trails of Angels” attracted special attention, inviting visitors to free senses – both the heart-stopping “The Trails of Angels” and the mystical “Creation of the Worlds” were on show . These works, presenting the unique worlds of Čiurlionis’ visions using modern technology, proved once again that art can be profound and accessible to everyone. More than a hundred visitors had the unique opportunity to see experiences based on Čiurlionis’ works for free. The audience could immerse themselves in virtual reality on a unique stage-pastat, which became the centre of attraction of the Culture Night.

The open-air cultural building of impressive size – even 4 storeys high – has become a living epicentre of creativity, bringing together artists from different disciplines: musicians, writers, painters, filmmakers and their fans. The stage is like a symbolic house where all the people of the art world have found a place for dialogue, inspiration and meeting the public.

“Culture Night once again showed that art is a bridge between creators and society. We are glad that we were able to contribute to this celebration not only with our own works, but also to be part of the common cultural community,” said Lukas Verpetinskas, Strategic Development Producer for Lithuania.

Culture Night 2025 remains not only an artistic phenomenon, but also an important platform for creators to meet the audience. This year’s events have made a lasting impression and highlighted the fact that Vilnius is filled with culture not only during the day but also at night.
