“Creation of the Worlds” VR experience travels around Lithuania gaining momentum

The virtual reality experience “Creation of the Worlds”, which has been travelling around Lithuania since 28 February, has already visited 21 cities and towns, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a unique visual and emotional journey inspired by the work of M. K. Čiurlionis.

During the #PoLietuva phase alone, more than 12 000 people – from children to seniors, from city dwellers to communities in the remotest corners of Lithuania – have witnessed this experience.

“Our ambition is to make art and innovation accessible to everyone, no matter where they live. “Creation of the Worlds is an opportunity for small towns to experience what is usually only available in big cities,” says Mintarė Palevičiūtė, #PoLietuvą project manager.

Longer stops and the rhythm of small towns

While in most places we stay for up to three days, in Utena “Creation of the World” stayed longer, attracted a lot of interest and became a centre of attraction for the community. The experience is currently on display, along with scenographic elements, at the Alytus Cultural Centre, where visitors are welcome until 23 May.

After Alytus, the project will travel to Šiauliai, where the VR experience will be available until 9 November at the Venclauski House-Museum of the Šiauliai “Aušra” Museum.

Despite the longer stops in larger cities, the project also actively visits smaller towns across Lithuania every weekend. During the upcoming Mother’s Day weekend, VR teams will visit Matuizi, Merkinė and Kaišiadorys.

“We want to not only showcase our experience, but also engage in a dialogue with local communities, stimulate their creativity and interest in new media,” says Lukas Verpetinskas, Strategic Development Producer for Lithuania.

Expansion plans for more than 70 cities by 2026

In 2025 and 2026, the project team plans to visit more than 70 cities and towns in Lithuania to commemorate the 150th anniversary of M. K. Čiurlionis’ birth. In some places, the experience will last just a weekend, in others up to two months. Find your nearest city to experience this unforgettable journey now: https://angelutakais.lt.
