It’s hard to put into words, because you have to see it to experience it,” says Valentas Tamulis. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n According to the organisers, virtual reality is becoming an increasingly important educational tool to help contemporary audiences rediscover classical art. The project in K\u0117dainiai is unique in that the audience can experience both virtual reality journeys in one place. <\/p>\n\n “The Trail of Angels has already been seen by more than 500,000 viewers in Lithuania and abroad. Visitors often mention the feeling of calm, concentration and inner balance. The experience invites you to travel through the symbolic landscapes of \u010ciurlionis’ paintings, where mythology, nature and spiritual themes intertwine. <\/p>\n\n “This experience is like a good relaxation session – you come out fresher, even more energised. I myself feel recharged and leave with the best emotions,” says the Mayor. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n Creation of the Worlds, meanwhile, is a more technologically advanced virtual reality experience where the viewer becomes an active participant in the journey. The experience has already been tested by more than 150,000 people, has been presented in more than 70 cities and towns in Lithuania and has received international acclaim. <\/p>\n\n V. Tamulis emphasises that such projects help to re-understand the scope and significance of M. K. \u010ciurlionis’ work.<\/p>\n\n “Last year we celebrated the 150th anniversary of the birth of M. K. \u010ciurlionis, and I think many people now understand even better what a great, world-class man we have,” says the Mayor of the K\u0117dainiai District.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n Virtual reality, he says, makes it possible not only to learn about art, but also to experience it.<\/p>\n\n “It is one thing to tell the story, but it is quite another to feel it,” emphasises V. Tamulis.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n According to Austeja Staniulevi\u010di\u016bt\u0117, the leader of the #PoLietuv\u0105 project, coming to K\u0117dainiai was born out of a desire to make these experiences accessible to a wider audience.<\/p>\n\n “I believe that it is important to see these experiences both for those who are still preparing for their first encounter with the work of M. K. \u010ciurlionis and for those who already know it and want to come back again,” she says.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n Tickets and gift vouchers can be purchased online or at the venue of the event at the K\u0117dainiai Regional Museum.
