The team of “Trail of Angels” invited children and their families with oncological diseases or those who have recovered from them to a sensitive two-part experience – the project “Creation of the Worlds”, which invited not only to get to know the work of M.K. \u010ciurlionis, but also to open the door to a world where the power of art becomes a source of respite, strength and communion.<\/p>\n\n

The first stage took place in Kaunas, at the M.K. \u010ciurlionis National Museum of Art, where during the Night of Museums, a special session was organised for children and their relatives who have survived the difficult journey of illness. Art, encounters, light and tender moments became a bridge between the challenges of the past and a hopeful tomorrow. <\/p>\n\n

The second stage took us to Vilnius, to the Santaros Clinic, where we visited the children and their families who are still undergoing treatment in the onco-haematology department. In this phase, the virtual journey “Creation of the Worlds” took a special form – with the help of virtual reality goggles, a fusion of painting and music, the little ones and their parents were able to leave the walls of the hospital, forget about the procedures and their anxiety, and plunge into the universes of \u010ciurlionis’ music and paintings, at least for a short time. The children embarked on a sensitive journey through the light-filled worlds of art. The education not only opened the door to the worldview of the famous Lithuanian artist, but also gave the children the opportunity to become creators, observers and participants in this experience. <\/p>\n\n

Migl\u0117 Cibulskien\u0117,<\/strong> Project and Events Manager of the Kauk\u0117nas Support Foundation , was thrilled to<\/strong> share her impressions of the day, “I am very grateful to the project partners for the opportunity to give the children and their families moments of light and joy. There are days when the little ones are very tired and it is difficult to engage them in activities, especially when everything takes place in a hospital environment. But this time it was different – as soon as the children heard about the virtual reality goggles, their eyes lit up, they jumped out of their beds and rushed to the screenings. This is priceless. It was a reminder that even in the confines of a hospital, worlds can be born – full of light, colour and hopeful smiles.” <\/p>\n\n

The virtual reality journey was not just a visual one – it was an emotional experience that merged child, family and art into one indivisible moment. Children and parents became not only observers, but also active participants, discovering the light even on the hardest days. <\/p>\n\n

After the education, the children and their families were greeted with small but special surprises: ice cream, doughnuts and creative kits.<\/p>\n\n

This journey is a story of two cities, two stages, but one goal. It is a story of how art can give hope for life. How light can penetrate the depths of the soul. And how communion creates worlds that are so good to be in, that we want to cherish and create. <\/p>\n\n
